"Nothing" means "Nothing!"

Is anything too hard for the Lord?”

Genesis 18:14

“For with God nothing will be impossible.”

Luke 1:37

“Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.”

Jeremiah 32:17

FRIENDLY REMINDER: God has not changed! And the problems that look HUGE (even IMPOSSIBLE) to you are NOTHING for His mighty power. Consider:

He’s still the same Deliverer that brought Israel out of Egypt, using their greatest obstacle to freedom ~ the Red Sea ~ as His weapon of choice to wipe out all their foes. And He has a plan to turn your battle into a blessing as you yield to His will and trust His love: “The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still” (Ex. 14:14).

He’s still the Good Shepherd who knows how to guide and provide for His sheep, and has PROMISED to never leave you, forsake you, nor lead you astray (Psalm 23, Hebrews 13:5-6).

He still the Savior who comes walking across stormy seas, turning scared sailors into wonder-struck worshipers (Matthew 14); and when the time is right He still speaks “Peace, be still” to calm troubled waters and troubled souls (Mark 4).

He’s still the high and lofty One who draws near to the brokenhearted and needy, reviving the spirit of the crushed and dwelling with the humble heart (Psalm 34:18, Isaiah 57:15).

He’s still MIGHTY in the very midst of us, His grace is still MORE than enough to be strong in our weakness, and He desires to fill us – His temples – with the presence and power of His Holy Spirit (Zephaniah 3:17, 2 Corinthians 12:9, 1 Corinthians 6:19).

And He’s still the merciful Messiah who loved you enough to die so you could be His friend ~ Just think of that! You’re loved with THAT much love right now!

His love is truly all we need… This world offers us husks and salt water, when deep within our spirits long for the Living Waters and Bread of Life found only in His presence. And He invites us to draw near, even (especially) in our times of greatest need (Hebrews 4:15-16).

So I encourage you: cast off all doubt and unbelief, all worrying and wondering, and put all your confidence in His unfailing love… Perhaps you can’t see it right now, but I promise: you shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living once again (Ps. 27:13).

Blessings to you,

Matthew
